Creating Caritas in Latin America with Héctor Rosso
During this Caritas in Action event, Héctor will be sharing his story of becoming an advocate for and leader in the world of Caring Science and discuss the amazing work that is going on in Latin America to support the fast-growing interest in Caring Science in that part of the world.
Bio
Héctor Rosso is Director of Watson Caring Science Institute (WCSI), Latino-Ibero America working with Dr. Jean Watson they are bringing caring science programs to Spanish/Portuguese speaking health professionals, currently supporting 12 Country Groups. In addition, Héctor is a WCSI Senior Scholars through the WCSI Postdoctoral Program. Hector is a Scholar inductee of The Global Academy of Holistic Nursing, is Faculty for Watson Caring Science Institute, a certified Caritas Coach® and currently a PhD student in Caring Science at Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
Originally from Uruguay, Héctor has worked as a nurse for more than 27 years. Was previously Professor and Director of the Department of Education and Community Health of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Technologies at the Catholic University of Uruguay. A strong supporter of education, Héctor has a double master’s degree in Strategic Management, specializing in healthcare organizations; and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management with a specialty in Management focusing on Health Organizations. Héctor is also a certified Reiki Master.
